In 1998, pharmaceutical company Lundbeck bought the PsycArt collection. Art studios in psychiatric facilities or day centres, as well as the artists themselves were supported by the development of the collection. In addition, organising exhibitions outside of the hospital or facility was possible too.

The collection contains works of art from a wide range of art studios. For example, works of art were collected from art studios with which the Dr. Guislain Museum has worked together in the past and which are quite known in the field, such as La Pommeraie in Ellignies-Sainte-Anne, Kaos vzw in Ixelles, Kunsthuis Yellow Art in Geel or La ‘S’ Grand Atelier in Vielsalm. But there are quite some revelations as well.

This year, the Dr. Guislain Museum received the collection on long-term loan.
