The exhibition was created to mark the fiftieth anniversary of De Sleutel, an organisation that provides care for people with addiction problems. Both clients and staff were invited to describe their individual and collective experiences with addiction.
In this exhibition, the Dr. Guislain Museum brings together works by six artists who explore the topics of presence, identity and recovery through various media ranging from painting to photography.
For visitors, this means not only seeing, but also feeling: the vulnerable stories behind addiction, the role of care providers and the space for mutual understanding come into focus.
