The mystical experiences of the visual artist Johan Tahon began in his childhood with a visit to the Ghent Altarpiece in St Bavo's Cathedral, which forms the starting point of the exhibition. There, in ultimate spiritual surrender, one of Tahon's sculptures directs its gaze towards the Ghent Altarpiece.
You can find works by Tahon in bronze and stone in St Bavo's House and its garden. These contemporary pieces are complemented by 12th and 13th-century religious sculptures from his private collection.
This activity takes place on a location within the low emission zone
