The Zeitgeist is no longer in the favour of smokers. The smoking ban has made it so that it’s hard to find a place where it’s still permitted to light up. Still, tobacco products remain in high demand, holding an unquestionable appeal to many.

The exhibition Rook (Smoke) offers an insight into the change in mentality surrounding smoking and shows how and why we have come to see the activity differently. The many selected photos, home movies and objects in the exhibition bear witness to the significance of smoking in our daily lives, both now and in the past.
