This exhibition will introduce you to the evolution of horticulture in Flanders. You will learn how the region around Ghent became Belgium's main flower region thanks to the efforts of horticulturists over the past two centuries.

Additionally, you can also see a time-lapse of the construction and dismantling process of the Floraliën event in 2005 and a compilation of the opening ceremonies with royal visits since 1990.

This activity takes place on a location within the low emission zone

Are you driving to Ghent? First check whether you may enter the city centre with your vehicle. Clean vehicles may enter the city centre free of charge, polluting vehicles have to pay. Is your vehicle allowed to enter, but do you not have a Belgian or Dutch number plate? You will ALWAYS have to register!
