Ghent has more than 150 well-known and lesser-known parks and domains. They are perfect for relaxing, having fun or playing sports. They’re green oases in and around the city.

There are many rather small yet charming places, such as the Appelbrugparkje pocket park and Baudelopark. The city also has extensive landscape parks, such as Citadelpark, with the city’s two most important museums, and Koning Albertpark.

All Ghent's parks are maintained without the use of pesticides.

From April until October, several parks feature (pink) picnic tables.
