The art city study surveys Belgian and foreign day trippers and overnight tourists in the Flemish art cities. Why did they visit a specific place? How did they spend their time there and what were their impressions?

The resident survey assesses the attitude of the residents of Ghent (and other art cities) towards tourism and visitors to their city.

The results of the 2023 resident survey are expected in autumn 2023.

Tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, monitoring the attitude of (potential) visitors was important to keep our finger on the pulse and adjust our campaigns accordingly. Three online surveys were conducted between June 2020 and April 2021.
