Can I look up information myself in the information office?

Yes, there are two public computers available in the VisitGent information office. You can check things such as public transportation schedules, book tickets for theatre performances, or look up opening hours of places to eat and drink. There are also lots of brochures and publications available in the information office with information on attractions, museums, exhibitions, and events.

Where can I rent a wheelchair in Ghent?

A wheelchair is available at the VisitGent information office. It can be reserved according to availability by sending an email in advance with your contact information (first name, last name, email address and phone number) and the date you want to collect it. The wheelchair can be loaned for a maximum of one day and must be returned 15 minutes before closing time. View the information office hours here.

I'm a pilgrim on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Where can I get a stamp in Ghent?

If you walk through Ghent via the Via Scaldea on your way to Santiago de Compostela, you can get a stamp in your passport at the VisitGent info office.

Can I distribute my leaflets or brochures at VisitGent's info office?

The VisitGent information office only distributes printed information that is consistent with VisitGent's vision and values. A case-by-case review of whether printed information meets these requirements will be carried out. Basically, only printed information about Ghent activities, attractions and exhibitions is distributed, and never that concerning specific restaurants, cafes, or accommodation (principle of neutrality). The office will also not distribute printed information from businesses in cities other than Ghent (only from other tourism departments or umbrella organisations). Can I put up a poster of my exhibition or event in the VisitGent info office?

Digital carriers are available in the information office to publicise local festivals, exhibitions, and events that are in line with VisitGent's vision and values. If you wish to offer your materials to visitors, please provide all the information about your event and accompanying posters or promo videos using the forms provided for the purpose (ideally in English and in file format .pdf, .png, .jpeg or .mp4). No paper flyers or posters may be hung in the VisitGent information office.
