They take place every first Sunday of the month and provide extra activities and fun promotions. The city and its retailers do the utmost to ensure everyone has a pleasant and safe shopping experience.
Moreover, there is even more good news! During these shopping Sundays you can drive around for free by bus and tram (De Lijn) in Ghent (every first Sunday of the month).

How do I get a free ticket from De Lijn?
- Through the website of De Lijn
- Text 'SHOPGENT' to 4884. You will then receive a ticket via SMS that is valid for 60 minutes. Please note, your telecom operator will charge you for this. Do you want to order several tickets by SMS? Text 'SHOPGENT', followed by the number of people. E.g. 'SHOPGENT4' if you are a group of four people. Max. 5 persons per request. (this service is not available for foreign mobile network providers)
