Second-hand enthusiasts know how satisfying it is to score an item with a history. It makes you happy and it’s good for our planet! But where do you find all this preloved stuff? Well, Ghent has a walking route along a great mix of collectibles and vintage shops and second-hand boutiques. There are shops for everyone’s style and budget, from top design to old-school.

Second-hand markets

Have you already ticked off the shops on the vintage walk and are you still looking for more? Don’t worry, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there is an antiques and collectibles market at the Beverhoutplein and Bij Sint-Jacobs squares. On Sundays, there is also a Parisian-style book market at Ajuinlei and a second-hand bicycle market at Oude Beestenmarkt square.
