Ghent is blessed with the largest car-free zone in Europe, but that does not mean the city is not accessible by car. You can park free of charge at a Park & Ride zone in the outskirts of the city and then take a bus or the shuttle service. Do you prefer a direct connection? There are sufficient paying car parks in the city centre. If you are planning a visit, then don’t forget to check the LEZ (Low Emission Zone) regulations in the city.
