Ukrainians have been part of life in Ghent since the 1920s. This exhibition at Saint Saviour’s Church, the parish church for Ukrainians in Ghent, shares their stories, heritage, and connection to the city.

You’ll discover multiple generations of Ukrainians who have made Ghent their home. Through authentic heritage objects, artworks, and items from private collections, you’ll get to know Ukrainian culture up close. The historical context offers more insight into migration waves, integration, and identity. The exhibition also highlights how the Ukrainian community continues to integrate into Ghent today.
