In the spring of 2024, Film Fest Gent and four Ghent partners are joining forces to organise three film events under the banner ‘Film Fest Gent Offroad’. The programme is made up of films selected by the young members of non-profit organisation Jong and youth centre Nieuw Gent as well as teachers and students of the NT2 course ‘Dutch for non-native speakers’.

Programme

11/05/2024: the Brazilian film “Cidade de Deus” (City of God) by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund. Open-air screening at the Titannick site in the Nieuw Gent neighbourhood. Before the movie, you can enjoy a live podcast and music. 

25/05/2024: the film “Les Barons” by Brussels director Nabil Ben Yadir. Open-air screening at Keizerpark. Before the movie, you can enjoy live music.

15/06/2024: the Flemish family film “Binti” by Frederike Migom is screened in the afternoon and “Past Lives”, the debut of director Celine Song, is screened in the evening. Location: CVO Gent, Martelaarslaan 13. Between the film showings, you can enjoy a world buffet and performances at an open mic session.
