At the Gent Sint-Pieters and Gent Dampoort train stations, there are luggage storage facilities with lockers where you can leave your bags without any worries. Choose a locker that fits the size of your bag and lock it yourself. Booked an overnight stay in the city? Then ask your host whether they will already store your luggage upon arrival. This will not pose a problem in most hotels, B&Bs and hostels.
