Cycling race 'Omloop Het Nieuwsblad'

Even though races take place in Oman, the Algarve and ‘Down Under’ in January and February, for true cycling fans the season starts with the cycle race “Omloop Het Nieuwsblad”. Every year, they cheer their heroes on to victory on the slopes of the Flemish Ardennes.
During the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad no spectators will be allowed at the start and finish. The hills and cobbled sections will be closed as well. There will also be a ban on gatherings of more than four people and mouth masks will be required along the route from one hour prior to the race until one hour after. So for once, you will be able to watch the opening classic better on television.
