Cyclists rule the streets in Ghent, and these are not empty words. You see bikes everywhere in the city, and numerous cycling-related activities are organised. A self-guided or guided cycling tour of the city and events such as the Six Days of Ghent at ’t Kuipke velodrome: there is plenty of choice. You can also buy or rent a bike at numerous locations. With the Ghent CityCard, you can even rent a bicycle for a day. Need a breather? There are lots of outdoor cafés as well as bike-friendly bars and restaurants!
