Meg Stuart

Situating the studio within the public space will allow Meg Stuart’s practice to reveal itself as a living, embodied archive. Various exhibition spaces are being opened up to movement improvisation, and the museum archive is going to become a film set where bodies are treated with the same care as works of art.

The residency will also extend beyond the walls of the museum itself – live streams and workshops will also take place in the park. On Wednesdays, the museum’s transport vehicle will take the artists around the city to stage interactive events. Thursdays will be devoted to workshops and presentations by guest artists. A public event on Saturdays will then bring each week to a close. That will be a time for visitors to discover the research and the creations.
