JAM Ghent
JAM Hotels are not a traditional hotel chain, but a creative movement. Each JAM hotel is located in a building with character — from old schools to historic barracks — and breathes new life into these places with art, local craftsmanship and circular design. JAM revolves around authenticity. You can feel it in the materials, see it in the furniture and taste it in the food.
JAM Ghent is housed in the restored Leopoldskazerne barracks, an impressive military complex with monumental vaulted ceilings and weathered charm. It is ideally located: in the middle of the Arts Quarter, next to Citadelpark, the Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art (SMAK) and the Museum of Fine Arts (MSK).
Inside, it's like stepping into an art studio. The interior has a distinct, rough-chic look: unfinished walls, warm colours, vintage accents and handmade furniture. No two rooms (108 in total) are the same, and each object has a sustainable provenance. A major asset is the ‘Mega’ rooms, suitable for groups of up to 6 people.
After a day in the city, you can relax at rooftop bar Neko, a creative hotspot offering views of Ghent, or settle down at restaurant Kaiju. On summer days, the heated outdoor swimming pool on the roof awaits – a rare luxury in the heart of the city.
