Ghent still boasts lots of medieval splendour, but contemporary art enthusiasts can also indulge themselves here. You can admire modern and contemporary art in a number of museums, the Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art (S.M.A.K.) being the most specialised one, but also in art galleries. And in public spaces you can also see street art and other  contemporary art forms.
