Gentse Gidsen

Why not join an organised walking tour?
The ‘Ghent History Tour’ takes you on a fascinating tour of the historical city centre. On weekends it includes a visit to St Bavo’s Cathedral and on weekdays a visit to the Town Hall. Departure: inquiry desk Visit Gent.
Discover the city centre in general or specific buildings in particular. For groups also, no single corner in Ghent remains undisclosed in over fifty theme walks of ‘Gentse Gidsen’. Discover the Prinsenhof quarter with the Emperor Charles V walk. Or would you rather make a boat trip in the harbour or search for ‘The Woman in Ghent’? The choice is all yours. The ‘Gentse Gidsen' matches historic knowledge with anecdotic narrative art. A captivating and surprising story, told in Dutch, French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Portuguese. Catering solely for the Dutch-speakers (although…) is the unique tour in unrivalled juicy Ghent dialect. Without subtitles!
A 1971 tram! An old PCC tram has been completely renovated so as to transport groups of 20 to 60 people in a very original way. Combined with a boat trip, a walk and a museum visit, this makes for a unique full-day programme with two possible variations. Can only be booked at Gent Watertoerist.
