The international gallery for contemporary art TATJANA PIETERS is established in a unique warehouse in the Ghent “Bloemekenswijk” district. The 400 m2 warehouse was designed by Pieterjan Deblauwe. The gallery aims to make contemporary art accessible to everyone.
The gallery organises exhibitions to promote emerging artists and reposition mid-career/established artists who have been overlooked. It also supports early-career artists and serves as a catalyst for the development of their artistic career. Furthermore, TATJANA PIETERS promotes respected older artists like Walter Swennen, Luc Deleu and Philippe Van Snick within a broad international context. The gallery represents artistic positions that are not easy to classify and offers an experimental platform navigating between the independent domain, the institution and the art market.
