A Green Key is a quality label for environment-friendly tourist accommodation and attractions. It encourages tourist entrepreneurs to work as sustainably as possible. The Green Key is part of the Green Key program which runs in 17 countries.
The participating organizations have to comply with a series of criteria as regards energy, water and mobility. The label is awarded for one year. Every year again the candidates have to show that their environment-friendly efforts are sufficient to obtain the label.
