JanHOET.art & Walk Local present HOET te VOET, a walk along Ghent shops and restaurants.

They all form part of the stunning private collection of the Pope of art, Jan Hoet, who died in 2014.

These will be shown in one large exhibition for the first time.

Starting from a sandwich bag with a sketch by Panamarenko over an autographed CD by Frank Zappa, from a design for a new democratic structure on a Joseph Beuys shopping bag to a thank you from Roger Raveel with an etching.

All this has been complemented by younger local artists, such as Matthieu Ronsse and Kris Martin, with whom Hoet has worked.

The succession of shop windows forms a route through Ghent that spreads organically throughout the city. An overview of all the locations and the artists can be found on the digital plan on www.JanHOET.art.

The basis of the exhibition is the private residence of Jan Hoet Jr, Lousbergkaai 22 in 9000 Ghent. Part of the collection and Jan Hoet's archive is also accessible to walkers at certain times.
