The artist draws inspiration from clichéd and forgotten visual and narrative traditions. She idiosyncratically combines this knowledge with observations and memories that provoke a youthful wonder of the everyday. Wylie’s works have a great visual intensity.

She made a new series of paintings for this exhibition, which is her first museum presentation.
