With co-operative living, you become co-owner of the entire building through shares, rather than owning a house. As such, the property is jointly owned and used individually, at cost price. In addition, it provides greater long-term residence security. This type of living is gaining ground in Flanders. You can find out more about it in this exhibition.

Most projects in the exhibition are from recent decades. Photos, videos, texts and models also show you contemporary projects such as a repurposed monastery site in Sint-Niklaas and a co-housing group in a farmstead in Gingelom. On top of that, you can be inspired by other examples, both in Belgium and abroad.
