Lys d'Or restaurant was established by chef Ignace Wattenberge. He worked in high-profile Michelin-starred restaurants abroad and at home, where he learnt to transform his passion for Belgian-French cuisine into delicious dishes. In 2017, he won the prestigious award “First chef of Belgium” and he opened his own restaurant in Ghent’s Arts Quarter.
Lys d'Or offers an incredible experience of high-quality Belgian-French cuisine in a surprising and artistic setting. Guests can choose between the gastronomic ‘La Lys d'Or' menu or an à-la-carte formula, depending on availability. The restaurant also has an “all-in three-course lunch” menu, which includes an aperitif and coffee. The extensive wine list reflects the chef’s second passion: wine, and specifically Burgundy wine.
Tip: the restaurant organises a ‘Golden labels’ event every month, during which the most delicious wines from the wine cellar are served.
