Ghent has a rich history that is omnipresent in the city, but so is the present. Artistically speaking, there is a lot to discover in the city: museums and galleries that focus on contemporary art, new architecture such as the City Pavilion, etc. And it’s made all the more interesting by the 'confrontation’ between old and new.
