Ghent’s nightlife scene got a serious jazz injection in the 2010s. And the White Cat played an important part in it.

Despite its central location and popular character, the Patershol neighbourhood has never really played a significant role in Ghent’s nightlife scene. One exception is perhaps the White Cat, a cosy cellar which has gone down in history as the place where jazz drummer Lander Gyselinck brought together a few musicians for some fiery jam sessions in 2012. Afterwards they formed a band: STUFF.
