Art historians say you have to have seen this at least once in your lifetime: the Ghent Altarpiece. This masterpiece is considered to be one of the most influential paintings ever made and is therefore a must-see during your city break in Ghent.

Almost 600 years after its creation, the Ghent Altarpiece was restored in a spectacular way and was given a new home in St-Bavo’s cathedral. During an augmented reality tour in the crypt of the cathedral, you can go back into time to discover the history of this work and its home base.
