A bike is the perfect means of transport if you want to truly experience Ghent. It enables you to find the less well-known sites further away from the city centre, where you will meet the local residents. In addition to the existing bike rental and repair centres, Ghent now also offers shared bikes, which can easily be rented with your smartphone.
How does it work? After having downloaded the application, you can look for a bike on the map in the app, and a Bluetooth connection allows you to open the lock. If you want to stop along the way, you can use your smartphone to lock and unlock the bike. At the end of the ride, you can simply take the bike to the drop-off location of your choice and end the rent.
