Spiders, plants and insects
The museum boast a collection of preserved Belgian spiders collected by renowned arachnologist J. Hublé as well as live tarantulas.
The varied plant collection not only includes living specimens, but also dried plants.
Kina: Garden boasts three bee colonies. You can learn all about beekeeping and why bees are so important. In addition, you can admire stick insects, leaf insects and a giant cockroach in het museum.
Not for the faint hearted, but surely worthwhile!
Tip
Also check out Kina: House. This museum location is not within walking distance from the Garden, but from Tolhuislaan it can easily be reached by bus no. 5 (Sint-Pietersplein).
Museum shop
In the museum shop of Kina: Garden, you can find toys, cuddly toys, magnifying glasses, gadgets, minerals, shells and fossils, as well as in-house museum publications. The shop is freely accessible.
