Originally a 14th-century castle, the restored Hof van Rijhove illustrates the development of seven centuries of domestic culture in an authentic Ghent mansion.
Between the historic walls, a "medieval" garden was laid out with a historically authentic range of plants. The building is now home to the offices of various city departments.
