In the middle of the 16th century, the guild of harquebus shooters of Saint Anthony relocated to the quay known as the Antoniuskaai, which is where the name comes from.
When serviced flats for senior citizens were set up in the former monastery, the park was also redesigned. It consists of an idyllic section of former monastery garden, an orchard, herb borders, a wildflower garden, lawns and a play area.
The Sint-Antoniushof measures 9,040 m².
