Sunday is a rest day… And we should honour this, right? By treating yourself to culinary delights, for example. So, Sundays are perfect for going to a restaurant. Many restaurants are closed on the last day of the week, but fortunately, in Ghent you’ll find many that do open their doors on Sundays.
You’ll get hungry during a walk through Ghent. The offer of restaurants and bistros is impressive, even on Sundays – but you might have to look a little harder than on other days. Want to experience a Sunday like a true Ghentian? Then start at the flower market on Kouter square, slurp oysters and bubbly at Blauwe Kiosk and then hit a restaurant. Note: most places require you to make reservations on Sundays!
