By bus or tram on the first Sunday of the month

On every shopping Sunday (only the first sunday of the month) you can take the De Lijn bus and tram to Ghent for free. This allows you to travel to and from the city centre smoothly and without parking stress. Request your free ticket through the De Lijn website or text "SHOPGENT" to 4884 for an SMS ticket (not possible with foreign mobile operators). Fast, easy and free.

By car

Ghent lies at the intersection of the E17 and the E40 motorways and is therefore easily accessible by car or coach. If you arrive by car, you can park in one of the P+R car parks and have an easy connection to public transportation.

Do you still need to park in the city centre? Then take into account the Low Emission Zone and the temporary ban on on-street parking.

If you have a parking card for persons with reduced mobility, you can park in the reserved parking spaces indicated on the map below (on-street parking is temporarily suspended).
