Coffee is treated with due respect in Ghent, in its numerous coffee bars. There is plenty of choice: from well-known spots that have been there for years to brand-new places. In most bars, you can enjoy a specialty coffee inside, or take one with you for the road. Coffee lovers can also go there to get their favourite stuff to brew their own coffee at home. Did you know that a real Ghentian traditionally concludes the Ghent Festivities with something stronger, namely an Irish coffee?
