Sofico Gent Marathon is the main spring marathon in Belgium. The routes (10 km, 1/2 marathon, marathon) take you along the city’s sights and hidden gems. You will start (and finish) at the Topsporthal. The route runs through Ghent’s city centre and is very comfortable for participants.
The course of the marathon will be inaccessible during the passage of the runners. (start 10 km at 9:30 a.m., start half marathon and marathon at 10:00 a.m.)
The majority of bus and tram lines will be inconvenienced by the route, which may cause delays or cancellations. Consult the route maps of De Lijn for more information.
No parking is allowed on the entire course of the marathon, which will also be inaccessible during the passage of the runners. We recommend that you park your car at a P+R on the city outskirts and use public transport to reach the city centre. Do you prefer to park your car in an underground car park in the city centre? Please bear in mind that access to some car parks will not be possible or will be restricted:
